Raised by a bear who in turn was raised by an alcoholic Russian, I had an interesting childhood which makes it sometimes difficult to relate to humans who were raised by humans. I like a myriad of things which, when put together, no one else likes. This is the place where I try to explain myself in words. It may not work. I do not apologize.
And, my advice to you: take your friends to parties, but don't let parties take your friends.

 

Extremely Overdue Library Book Finally Returned After 55 Years

NY Daily News is reporting that an extremely overdue book titled Fire of Francis Xavier by Arthur R. McGratty was finally returned to the Fort Washington Branch Library in New York after being loaned out for 55 years. It was last checked out on April 10, 1958 and was just returned by mail in a plain brown envelope on February 4, 2013 with a $100 (late charge) check. The library is not divulging who returned the book.
